Goldbacks
Goldbacks are a voluntary, physical currency made of 24-karat gold, sealed between layers of polyester to form a banknote-like note. Created by Valaurum, they are designed for small, everyday transactions and come in various denominations, with each note representing a specific amount of gold.
They are not U.S. legal tender but are accepted by a growing network of businesses in states with active Goldback series, like Utah, Nevada, Florida, New Hampshire, Wyoming, and South Dakota.
